Course Description:
An introduction to Chinese moral and political philosophy, with critical study of Confucian, Mohist, Legalist and Daoist moral and political theories that have greatly shaped the intellectual, moral and political world in China. Emphasis is placed not merely upon these schools’ original thinking in the original texts, but also upon their relevance and updated versions in the modern context.
